From Stray to Saved

Meet Max, a "Cunucu" dog from the island of Aruba. Max was found injured by Fido First founder, Melissa, during vacation on the island. He appeared to be a stray and in need of medical attention. A local family graciously took him in and with Melissa's support, he received medical treatment for his leg injury and sponsorship on a "Freedom Flight" to a new life in the United States.
After arriving in the US, he was lovingly fostered in Connecticut until he was adopted by a fellow tourist that had been in Aruba the night he was found in pain. Today, he is thriving and enjoying being a treasured member of his furever family - even reuniting with Melissa and his foster mom at a local Aruba dog rescue fundraiser.
