Hello and welcome! My name is Melissa, and I am the founder of Fido First, a women owned pet brand and creator of our flagship product, the Fido Flask. My lifelong passion for animal welfare has driven me to actively fundraise, adopt, foster, collect and distribute donations and supplies for rescues and shelters throughout my life. Giving back to organizations that care for abused and neglected animals has always played a big role in my life and influenced me to launch Fido First.

How it all started… The inspiration behind Fido First and creating the Fido Flask was my rescue dog, Samantha Rose. Upon welcoming Sam into our family, we soon discovered that fear and anxiety hindered drinking from handheld water bottles. Frequent travel demanded that we find a product that met both our needs. Despite my best efforts, I came up empty-handed. During a pitstop off Highway 81, the need for a better designed water bottle was evident when Sam refused to drink from yet another travel bottle. It was at that moment my frustration turned into a vision and the creation of the Fido Flask began. With a clear design in mind, and a desire to create an effective solution for pet owners to keep their fearful and finicky pets hydrated away from home, I began the lengthy and challenging development process to bring my ideal, all-in-one water bottle design to life.  Fido Flask
